📆 October 30 - November 5, 2023
I told you. You didn’t need to read the post if you were looking for tech events for this week.
But I’m glad you are reading this, so let’s say something relevant in the tech world. 😉
No joking, it was hard to find any sort of event this week. I searched and asked someone of you, but no one found anything.
And probably you already know the reason: Wednesday will be holiday.
I don’t know if that’s the only reason why no one is organizing a tech conference, a networking opportunity or other types of event, but clearly it’s a factor.
What about you? Have you found any sort of the event for the week?
Your reflection are always welcome. Drop a comment below (if you’re reading this on Substack) and let’s start a discussion 🧠.
As suggested by some of you, let’s speak more about the relevant tech news of the past week 🗞️.
OpenAI has recently unveiled a 'Preparedness' team, established to tackle the 'catastrophic risks' that advanced AI models 🤖 might present.
Sam Bankman-Fried has officially take the stand in his trial👨🏽⚖️ on Friday. The trial began four weeks ago and since now he has pled not guilty. SBF acknowledged being aware of issues with Alameda's account but was unsure about the details.
It’s already been a year since Elon Musk acquired X (ex-Twitter) 🐦. This week they launched audio and video calls, expanding the offering towards the “super-app concept”, stating users won’t need a banking account with his platform.
That’s all for today.
Little reminder💡: if you know of any significant event, write me or reply to this email. Finding the best events will certainly be an important part of this project.
