⚔️💣FOUNDERS VS INVESTORS: NEW PROJECT
Before diving into this week’s tech events, I’m thrilled to share an exciting new initiative launched by our EY Innovation and Fintech team. This is why you’ll see also
writing this article.In collaboration with the Fintech District, we have decided to conduct a research to shed light ✨ on the challenges faced daily by investors active in the Italian Fintech ecosystem, as well as by Fintechs seeking funding, while working towards concrete and collective solutions.
As part of this initiative, we have created two separate but complementary surveys: one for investors in the Italian Fintech sector and another for Fintech companies, in order to capture both perspectives on the subject.
I know there are many VCs, business angels, and founders receiving this newsletter, and we believe many of you have valuable insights to contribute and can play an active role in this project.

Co-finanziato dall’Unione Europea e dal Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy, AI-MATTERS è il progetto nato per sviluppare entro il 2027 una rete europea di centri di sperimentazione tecnologica per favorire l’introduzione dell’Intelligenza Artificiale tra le aziende del settore manifatturiero, per consolidare le potenzialità dell’Europa come luogo d’elezione per l’innovazione industriale trainata dall’IA.

🤝 Build Your Tribe: Whether you’re a founder, an investor, or a creative, this is the perfect setting to share ideas, find collaborators, and make connections that last.
How Does It Work?
🕔 6:00 PM: Meet at Bar Ombrello for après-ski and mingling.
⛷️ 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM: Night skiing on the Baradello slope. Perfect for everyone as it’s an easy blue slope.
🍴 Dinner Options: You can bring your own food or enjoy a meal at the restaurant located on the slopes.
🚗 Post-Event: After the event, we’ll head back to Milan or other departure cities together. Let us know your preferences during registration, and we’ll coordinate the return logistics!
🎿 Need to Rent Gear? No problem! If you don’t have your own skiing or snowboarding equipment, rental options are available in Aprica. Let us know during registration if you need help arranging rentals, and we’ll guide you to the best spots.

Feb 5 - Founders Beer Club 🍻

I'm Francesco Nox and if you’re reading this, it’s because you’ve been invited to grab a beer with a club of future founders and entrepreneurs.
We'll have the Startup Weekend Milano community + some friends from the startup world who I've known for years joining us!
How does it work?
It’s a casual networking event, so we’ll hang out, grab a beer, and catch up with familiar faces.
We’ll have a fun icebreaker to help you meet new co-founders or mentors.
At the end, we’ve got a surprise raffle – but I can't spoil the fun just yet! Trust me, it’s gonna be cool.

Il convegno di presentazione dei risultati della Ricerca dell’Osservatorio Artificial Intelligence sarà l’occasione per presentare i numeri del mercato in Italia nel 2024, le progettualità più diffuse e le principali novità tecnologiche. Non si mancherà di discutere sul tema della Generative AI e sulle principali questioni ed implicazioni sociali che questa tecnologia comporta. Anche quest’anno ci saranno tavole rotonde con testimonianze aziendali per conoscere approcci, best practice, soluzioni e casi d’uso di Intelligenza Artificiale.
